The Next Step

Dance teachers are invited to a 30-hour training program leading  to ISTD professional certification: the Associate (Bronze) level in Ballroom.
This is a semi-annual event leading to higher professional certifications.

This program is for you if:

You are dreaming of becoming a Certified Ballroom Dance Teacher.
You never found the time to get your professional certification.
You are certified, but want to review to make sure you are up-to-date with the very latest in ballroom technique, recognized by top-ranked professionals.

This program will allow you to get professional certification immediately after successful completion of training.

You will receive choreographed routines and learn
to dance them at your optimal level.

You will be familiarized with abbreviations, chart headings, definitions for sway, CBM, CBMP, pivots, pivoting actions, rise and fall, footwork, beat value, timing, tempo, and all the other details that will enable you to discuss dance technique from a more informed perspective.

You will learn how to present information in a clear,
concise, and positive way.

Once you master your technique, it will become easier for you to correct your students and choreograph routines.
