The Next Step
Dance teachers are invited to a 30-hour training program leading to ISTD professional certification: the Associate (Bronze) level in Latin.
This is a semi-annual event leading to higher professional certifications.
This program is for you if:
This program will allow you to get professional certification immediately after successful completion of training.
You will receive choreographed routines and learn
to dance them at your optimal level.
You will be familiarized with abbreviations, chart headings, definitions for CBM, CBMP, pivots, footwork, body positions and holds, beat value, timing, tempo, and all the other details that will enable you to discuss dance technique from a more informed perspective.
You will learn how to present information in a clear,
concise, and positive way.
Once you master your technique, it will become easier for you to correct your students and choreograph routines.

The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), of London, England, is one of the world’s leading dance examination boards. From Ballet to Ballroom, it has 12 dance faculties covering Theatre, Dancesport, and Social Dance. It is represented in the United States by the USISTD. Since 1904 the ISTD has provided training for dance teachers and examiners, enabling teachers to enter their students for examinations, develop new techniques and spread the joy of dance.
Izabela Jaworska was born and raised in Poland and at the age of seven fell in love with dancing. She is a professional dancer, dance teacher, coach, and choreographer. She has taught and competed around the world. She is accredited by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) as a ballroom dance adjudicator, an Examiner in International Ballroom, and Licentiate in International Latin, American Smooth and Rhythm styles.
